Alfa Slab One
About
JM Solé designed Alfa Slab One as a modern reworking of the Six-lines Pica Egyptian that Robert Thorne cut for the Thorowgood Foundry in 1921. Starting from that model, the design received an extreme stem weight, large serifs, gradual terminals ending in a single serif, plus stronger stem contrast, for a very dense black look.
