Alkatra
About
Alkatra is a display family covering Bangla, Devanagari, Odia and Latin. Its letters draw on wall graffiti in Bengal, India, which was painted with a stick and tar, hence the blobby blackness of the forms. Suman Bhandary spearheaded the idea and the design.
