About
Macondo began as an attempt to offer an original, systematic style of calligraphy adapted to a modern digital font. John Vargas Beltrán drew its forms from illustrations for a tarot card game, itself inspired by Cien Años de Soledad by the Nobel prize winning Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez.
