Montagu Slab
About
Florian Karsten designed Montagu Slab, a display slab serif that looks back to nineteenth-century classics such as Clarendon. That style came out in 1845 from the London foundry Thorowgood and Co., with the design credited to partner Robert Besley. Montagu is a variable font, with one axis for weight and another for optical size.
