Staatliches is a clean display face with charmingly unconventional proportions, drawn by Brian LaRossa and Erica Carras as a response to Herbert Bayer's lettering for the title on the first Bauhaus exhibition catalogue, published in 1923. It includes capitals, numbers, punctuation, symbols, alternate widths and discretionary ligatures.
